Every participant who registers to fundraise for Athletes for a Cure through the Athletes for a Cure Triathlon or Kids Duathlon will automatically join TEAM WINTER and one child's efforts to raise funds and awareness for the Prostate Cancer Foundation in honor of her father, Michael Vinecki. In addition, every dollar raised will go towards qualifying to win one of our grand prizes!

How to Register for the TEAM WINTER Fundraising Division:

1. Simply scroll down this page to find the Fundraising Registration Form. Select "Register" and complete. You'll be able to design your own webpage, email friends for support, and watch your donations climb.

2. Don't forget to register for the actual race! Be sure to select that you are an AFAC Fundraiser on your entry registration.

3. Not in the race, but want to support someone who is? Please scroll down and select "Donate" to give to your favorite participant.

Registration for TEAM WINTER will NOT change your age-group race division or your start time. Please note - your registration for TEAM WINTER does NOT include an entry to the race. If you would like to participate in the Athletes for a Cure Triathlon or Kids Duathlon, you must register separately for entry.

Awards:

Every dollar that you raise for Athletes for a Cure by midnight on September 20, 2008 will be counted towards your own individual fundraising total. The three highest individual fundraisers (minimum $5000) will win the following prizes:

• First Place Prize: one gift certificate for Royal Caribbean Cruise line, value of $3,000.
• Second Place Prize: $1,500 gift certificate to Javelin bike company.
• Third Place Prize: One month, Silver Star Triathlon Coaching Program with Simon Lessing, 5X World Champion Triathlete and Event Spokesperson, value: priceless. Visit www.bouldercoaching.com for complete details.

Rules:

• You must be registered as a member of TEAM WINTER Athletes for a Cure through the Athletes for a Cure Triathlon or Kids Duathlon to be eligible for any Fundraising Division prizes. You must have raised a minimum of $5000 to be eligible for one of the grand prizes. Only one grand prize per person.
• Grand Prize winners will be selected on September 23, 2008. Winners will be contacted by Athletes for a Cure via the registration contact information provided, and gift certificates will be shipped within 10 business days.
• Athletes for a Cure is not responsible for the use or terms of service for the redemption of gift certificates after delivery to the winners.
• Grand Prizes are non-negotiable or transferrable. There is no expiration date for the cruise or bike company. Simon Lessing must be contacted for coaching no later than 10/31/08 before the prize expires.
• Anyone NOT registered as a member of the AFAC Fundraising Division (but registered for the actual race) will still receive an official event t-shirt and race ribbon, but will not qualify for any fundraising prizes or grand prizes.
